📍 Route overview (circular)
We start the ascent from Banderitsa Hut. The trail leads us up through the “Golyam Kazan” cirque, right beneath the impressive 400-meter northern face of Vihren. Our first goal is the massive marble dome of Kutelo Peak (2908 m).
From here begins the highlight — crossing “Koncheto.” We traverse the narrow rocky ridge secured with a steel cable until we reach Banski Suhodol Peak (2884 m). To make the hike more varied, the return is not the same route. We traverse beneath the peaks to reach the panoramic Premkata saddle (between Vihren and Kutelo), giving us a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the “Kazans” before descending back to the hut.
