Boyan Sofin

I am a mountain guide from Samokov and my connection with the mountains began in childhood. I grew up surrounded by nature and over time this has become an integral part of my life and professional path.

I graduated from the Vasil Levski National Tourist School in Sofia with a degree in Tourism - Orienteering. Since June 27, 2024, I have been registered as a professional mountain guide in the National Tourist Register with number B-00464.

I have been involved in sports orienteering from an early age, which has given me valuable skills such as good orientation, calmness in difficult conditions, and confidence in making decisions in the mountains.

Over the years, I have led tourist groups for various travel agencies, which gave me a wealth of practical experience and the opportunity to work with a variety of people and routes. Over time, I realized that the time had come to create something of my own in the field of mountain trekking and to develop a better way of working. For me, the mountains are more than a profession – they are an environment in which I feel natural and fulfilled. Today, I strive to convey my experience and attitude towards the mountains, by leading people safely and responsibly and helping them to experience its beauty and tranquility.

I have been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching for 7. About 5 years ago I started leading yoga for children, and recently I have also been a kindergarten teacher. Yoga for me is not just a practice, but a path to ourselves – a way to get to know ourselves, to develop and to find balance.

I started out as a teenager, and over time I realized how much it gave me – both physically and internally. This inspired me to train more deeply so that I could share what I learned with others. Yoga helped me unleash my creative side and build a stronger connection between body, mind and spirit.

Yoga in the mountains holds a very special place in my practice. There, everything feels more real – the breathing, the movement, the silence. Combining yoga with mountain hikes creates a deeper experience that brings peace, clarity, and recharge.

I have completed a 200-hour course with ISPA, as well as additional training in mantra yoga and yoga for children with BFY. I have also trained with Adam Hussler, and I also have a bachelor's degree in Yoga from NSA.

In my classes, I focus on smooth and conscious movement, combined with breathing. I like the practice to be accessible, enjoyable, and connecting – both with ourselves and with the nature around us.
